Happy new year people! First post of the year! Hopefully, by God's grace, 2015 will be a much better year.

I was wondering what to post so decided to go with an outfit post since it has been ages since I did one. I love this top. Bought it in cotonou at a random market with my friend. When I saw the back of the top, the fringe made me want it. Turned it to the front and saw "The Beatles" written on it and knew I was definitely going home with the blouse.

These heels are not that comfortable to walk in. This picture was taken while I was laughing at myself for almost falling when I tried to do a walking picture. They were gotten at Yaba.

I am a fan of full skirts. This skirt is ankara. Check. Full. Check. SOLD.

It was made by my friend's aunty. The purse my mum's. Don't know where she got it from. Not really a bag/purse person but look how it rhymed with the outfit.

I call this outfit "Rocker-Chic With A Twist" because when people see a top like this one, the first thing that comes to mind is high-waist jeans paired with sneakers to complete the look (I actually kinda took a mini-survey). I paired the top with a full ankara skirt. Again, people would have gone for something slimming because of the sihloutte rules blah, blah, blah.

BREAK THE RULES. If it doesn't work, fine. You've learnt a lesson. But what if it would work and you never try? (This question is actually a general question/piece of advice relatable to different things as it suits you, not only fashion. But it does work in this situation...Right?)

I wonder where the blog takes me this year. I am resuming school soon (UNILAG) and might not post as frequently so bear with me (I know I don't post enough as it is.)
