Tales of My First Online Shopping Experience | Dressfo Review
16:46
To be honest, I'm one of those people who avoid buying things online.
For one, I like to see and touch what I'm purchasing, not just view some picture that was put up on a site while the actual dress is probably sitting in some ware house. Also, the whole order mismatch occurrence and the immense disappointment one feels when one realizes the item being bought doesn't look as good in real life.
So when I was asked to do a review on Dressfo.com, I was a little skeptical. But since I believe in total honesty and trying new things, (sometimes anyway) I decided to experience the whole package from start to finish.
First of all, sooooo many preeeeetty dresses!! Basically everything was on my wishlist.
Like every other site, Dressfo has categories but it's only dedicated to women's clothing. No shoes or accessories. Clothing items are categorized into....
The thing I love about Dressfo? Details. Let's say I wanted to buy an off-shoulder dress for example. The measurement of the waist, hips, and total length would be stated in inches. You could also input your measurements and they would automatically recommend a size for you.
I find this really helpful because "medium", to me, isn't really a size as the actual measurements of medium could vary. The statistics/measurements of the person modelling the clothing is also given so you could project better, how it would look on you.
I actually thought I'd get some fabulous dresses but... Basic little me chose three things: a denim skirt, a white and blue t-shirt and black shorts.

Guess you finally has something denim in her wardrobe? I actually have a denim pinafore but it's quite short and mostly inappropriate to most places I go. A.k.A classes.
I actually quite like this t-shirt but the fitting kind of looks weird now, eh? Maybe it's because I don't usually wear long tops. Most of my tops are cropped and the shirts I wear are long and over sized.
The clothes actually came earlier than I expected so that's really good timing. Since my biggest issue was timing & sizing and Dressfo has none of these issues, I'd say this is a pretty good site. Sort of pricey though. But there are some pieces that are slightly cheap. Plus, they offer worldwide free shipping and 15% off on your first purchase.
I've been buying stuff from local Instagram shops after this experience and I think I'm not-so-skeptical anymore.
How do you guys feel about buying clothes and shoes online?

Enjoyed reading this review. I've actually not bought any clothing item online. I'm just indifferent but if I see what I like and can afford, I'd def go for it. I like how detailed they are with the specifications.

Me too! Especially with the suggestions. I tend to find "XS, S, M, L, XL & XXL" very confusing/
DeleteBefore I started buying clothes online I was like you, the first thing I got online was a disappointment, but I had to try again because of my quack university that going out to shop is work, I recently got some fake makeup products online so I'm sticking with clothes and not make up
ReplyDeleteNice review!

DeleteI really like this review. I enjoy buying clothes online because of the whole stress free thing but I was once disappointed when I bought a "denim" dungarees and when it arrived it was what I call "poor quality clothing" and I couldn't refund, but still I'm one for online shopping but they're just somethings I rather feel and touch and also price down the cost.

ReplyDeleteInteresting post. I've gotten so used to web shopping now, it is more comfortable and less taking especially with stores who have good return policies. Getting new clothes is just clicks away.

DeleteI have always been a bit skeptic about online shopping but I just had to try it at some point. While I have been dissapointed several times, I have had more good experiences so I'm going to stick with it because it's stress free at times. Love the shorts BTW.
