What I wore: Final Styling of the Vintage Shirt
06:01
I know y'all have been wondering- "what is going on ?!?!" "Is she obsessed with this shirt?"
I love the shirt but that's not why. I wanted to try out a new theme for blog and I think it worked out well. Every two months, I would take a clothing article and style it for the rest of that month. You like? I wanted to do a "How to style your... " segment but this was too stressful for me and I wouldn't be able to keep up so to be consistent, I decided on this instead. Don't worry, you won't see this shirt in a while :D
I went for a retro look again. I can't seem to help it. I think it's because of the vibes that the shirt gives off. You know? I did some colour play again with colours matching the the print of the shirt. Not the exact shade, but still within the theme.
I feel wearing a shirt underneath a shirt is so cool and expected it also makes you look preppy and chic. Anyone feeling the faux fro? Yup! I coined that! That's my hair in case you were wondering. I just curled the ends.
OUTFIT DETAILS
Dress: Meng Yi Qi (we're going to assume it's some Asian designer)
Shirt: Hatico
Shoes: Fullah Sugah
No jewellry whatsoever. These days, once I have rings on, I'm fine. Style evolution I guess.
A kiss from me to you for enduring the sight of this shirt :)
YOUR TURN!
What do you think of this new segment? Should I give it a different name or just give you a heads up each month? Do you like the way I styled the shirt? How have you styled your vintage shirt? Leave a link, let me know in the comments, I'd love to hear form you!
Enjoyed this post? Do me a favour, show you care by sharing :D

Thank you Oluchi!
DeleteI love the shirt, and ur hair is fabulous. How did u get to define the afro?
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you asked :). I just made my hair damp, added oil, then curled the ends. So my roots stood up (my hair is due) but the relaxed ends were curled. Voila! Hope this helps.
